Project Brief: According to one study, 91% of businesses use video ads. Short videos, preferably under one minute, tend to perform better. Create a 30 second social media video advertisement for a favorite product of your choice. Make sure that your video has a single powerful message. Your goal is to make the entire class buy the product or click to learn more. You may pick the product of your choice (limit 1 per class), but you will be given category of people for which you must target and develop the visual style for. As part of the concept development process, you must document your ideas in a written way, generate story boards, and then create a Style Frame. You must also document your sources and create a project description.
Objective: This social media ad aims to resonate with environmentally conscious consumers by presenting Coors Banquet as a responsible and eco-friendly brand, rooted in nature and tradition. Through a 30-second visual story, the ad will highlight Coors Banquet’s connection to Colorado’s rugged landscapes, showcasing its commitment to sustainability in a way that feels both authentic and compelling.
Written Description of Project: The concept leverages the beauty of nature and sustainable practices to connect with an eco-conscious audience, positioning Coors Banquet as a brand that cares for the environment. The cardboard texture of the Coors Banquet packaging is featured prominently, symbolizing the brand's eco-friendly packaging choices. The visuals incorporate natural, earthy color schemes and typefaces that blend modern sans-serif and rustic slab serif styles, creating a sense of balance between heritage and more contemporary values. The video emphasizes the brand’s dedication to responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship, using powerful imagery of natural Colorado landscapes, clean water, and outdoor spaces.
